It’s International Women’s Day!

March 8th is international women’s day – celebrated around the world in honor of the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some countries like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday! The first IWD was celebrated in 1911 – which means we’re almost near a 100 year anniversary.

When I lived in Russia, this day was a huge holiday when women would receive flowers, praise and toasts all day long!

So I suggest we jump on the global bandwagon and use today to reach out to all the amazing women in your life who have paved the way to make you who you are today! Call them, share with them authentically how they’ve impacted your life and THEN, dear women, I suggest that we all reflect on how WE ourselves in this life, in baby steps or major steps, can blaze a new path and create new possibilities for the younger women coming after us.

Choose it now – what can you do?

I’m going to call my 96-year old grandmother now, text my mother who is in Peru at the moment and spread love to my female friends…thank you to all the AMAZING women in my life!!!!
