Lost and Found in Amman, Jordan

Today I was invited by a friend to attend his workshop to prepare and train young Arab journalists about blogging and twittering for the upcoming World Economic Forum at the Dead Sea later this week. I must say, once I finally got there, I was quite impressed with these inquisative young global leaders! Once I got there…

I had written directions in Arabic and jumped in a taxi for what I was told would be a 20 minute cab ride. After the first 40 minutes, realizing we were quite lost, I was told in broken English that it would be “5 more minutes, in shallah” (translation: God Willing). I think he repeated that several times…

After hitting one car and asking several different people along the way for directions, we finally arrived at our destination an hour and a half later. It was a good adventure!
